Loads and Dynamics Engineer

  • Created and taught curriculum for qualifying new engineers to support ground loads testing at Air Force Bases for the T7 Red Hawk program.

  • Identified and addressed roadblocks for the T7 Red Hawk program development relative to Air Force needs and military specifications; provided a set of solutions to Boeing and the the Air Force while shaping applicable requirements and agreements.

  • Wrote software components for modal analysis and data storage of flight-test flutter data.

  • Standardized and documented loads analysis processes to facilitate efficient work while eliminating traveled knowledge.

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow

  • Devised and applied a stability criterion to conjoin direct-deformation estimation (DDE) and dense optical flow (DOF) algorithms for strain mapping; captured the best elements of DDE and DOF while mitigating their flaws.

  • Collaborated with the Thomopolous Lab at Columbia University to optimize design parameters of new tendon repair device, published in Science Advances.

  • Developed automation routine for ABAQUS model generation and finite-element analysis, streamlining the design process of new medical devices.

  • Consulted in civil litigation regarding a motor vehicle accident; modeled and analyzed a dynamic system and composed report with findings.

Supplier Quality Engineering Intern

  • Led a multi-site team to analyze the effects of F-15 program directives on Boeing-incurred costs of supplier-fault rework, repair, and salvage (CoRRS); initiated replication of these directives to the KC-46 program.

  • Automated the analysis and metric-generation of notice of escapement data and cleaned database.

  • Created and automated the generation of a reports detailing Boeing-incurred rework costs and escalations for supplier delinquency; adapted for use by other sites and assisted with roll-out.

  • Designed, developed, tested, and patented a tracking system for thoracolumbar, open-spinal surgery.

Student Coursework Planner & Optimizer

  • Designed and developed an application to assist students in finding an optimal course schedule.

  • Application included an API for querying WashU’s online course catalog, factored in user-defined preferences and constraints, and exported users’ optimized schedules to both text and image formats for later reference.

Gerstner Wave Simulator

  • Designed a simulation and visualization program for superposition of Gerstner waves.

  • Optimized the computational efficiency of the simulation in MATLAB using parallel processing and algorithmic analysis.
